Released in 2026, Oticon Reveal replaces Oticon Intent at the top of the range. The short version of what's new: earlier Oticon platforms ran a single neural network that worked to pull speech out of everything around it. Reveal runs two systems side by side — one dedicated to speech, one dedicated to the rest of the sound in the room — on the theory that the context you hear around a conversation is part of hearing naturally, not noise to be stripped away.
Whether that's worth the money over a previous-generation device depends entirely on your hearing loss and where you struggle. We'll tell you straight either way.
What "Dual AI" actually means
Marketing language around hearing aids gets thick fast. Here's the plain reading of what Oticon has built into Reveal.
Reveal runs a speech-focused AI and a context-focused AI at the same time, rather than one network deciding what counts as speech and suppressing the rest. Oticon calls the combination the Reveal AI platform.
Footsteps behind you, a car at an intersection, which direction a voice came from — these aren't noise. Aggressive noise reduction can strip out the cues that tell you where you are, which is why some people find heavily processed hearing aids tiring.
Reveal carries forward the 4D sensor approach introduced with Intent, which uses head and body movement alongside the sound environment to estimate what you're trying to listen to, then shifts the settings accordingly.
Oticon reports its second-generation Wind & Handling Stabilizer attenuates wind and handling noise by up to 40 dB. If you golf, walk, garden or work outdoors, this is the specification most likely to matter to you day to day.
One thing worth saying plainly: every performance figure Oticon publishes for Reveal — the additional gain, the speech-access percentage, the preference numbers against Intent — comes from Oticon's own internal and laboratory documentation. No independent laboratory has published measurements of Reveal yet. That doesn't make the claims wrong, but it does mean they should be read as manufacturer claims rather than settled findings, and we'd rather tell you that than let a spec sheet do the selling.
The platform matters less than the verification
Here is the part most brand pages leave out. A premium hearing aid programmed to manufacturer defaults will frequently underperform a mid-tier device that has been measured and adjusted to the prescription your hearing loss actually calls for. Ear canals differ, and those differences change what reaches the eardrum.

Reveal comes in four technology levels
All four share the same chip, the same style and the same core Dual AI processing. What changes as you move up is how much of the automatic environmental work the device does for you — which is worth more to some people than to others.
Reveal 1
The most processing power and the most automatic adjustment across difficult environments. Worth considering if you're regularly in restaurants, meetings, church halls or group conversations.
Reveal 2
Most of the environmental handling of the top level with fewer refinements. Often the sensible landing spot for an active social life without a step up to premium pricing.
Reveal 3
Solid automatic performance in everyday settings. A good fit if your hardest listening situations are occasional rather than weekly.
Reveal 4
Entry into the Reveal platform. Best suited to quieter routines — home, one-on-one conversation, television — where fewer environment changes need managing.
Level should be chosen against your audiogram and your actual week, not against a budget alone. We'll walk you through what you'd realistically notice moving between them, and if the answer is "not enough to justify it," that's what we'll say.
Oticon Reveal specifications
Reveal launches in the miniRITE R style only. If your hearing loss or dexterity calls for a behind-the-ear or custom in-the-ear device, Oticon Intent remains available and is frequently the better answer — we fit that too.

What is Oticon Reveal?
Oticon Reveal is Oticon's flagship hearing aid platform, released in 2026 to replace Oticon Intent. Its defining feature is what Oticon calls a Dual AI system: one AI dedicated to speech clarity and a second dedicated to preserving the surrounding sounds that give a room its context, running together in real time.
How is Reveal different from Oticon Intent?
Intent uses a single neural network to separate speech from background sound. Reveal splits that work across two AI systems and adds a second-generation wind and handling noise reduction, improved streaming stability and range, and support for LE Audio and Auracast. Intent is still an excellent device and remains available in more styles, including behind-the-ear and custom fits — it is often the better recommendation, not a consolation prize.
What styles does Oticon Reveal come in?
One at launch: the rechargeable miniRITE R, a receiver-in-canal design in nine color options. There is currently no custom in-the-ear or standard behind-the-ear Reveal. If your loss or your hands point toward one of those, we'll look at Intent or another manufacturer.
How long does the Reveal battery last?
Oticon reports up to about 16 hours of use from a one-hour charge. Treat that as an estimate rather than a promise — how long a rechargeable hearing aid actually lasts depends on your degree of hearing loss, how much you stream, whether you use wireless accessories, and the age of the battery.
Will my existing Oticon accessories work with Reveal?
Usually. ConnectClip, EduMic, Remote Control 3.0 and TV Adapter 3.0 are all listed as compatible, so most people upgrading from Intent or Real can keep what they have. The charger is the exception, since Reveal uses its own. Bring your accessories in and we'll check them against the compatibility list before you order anything.
Are Reveal hearing aids worth the price?
Sometimes. A premium platform earns its cost when you spend real time in demanding listening environments — restaurants, group settings, meetings, houses of worship. If your hardest listening is a quiet living room and the television, a lower technology level or a previous-generation device properly verified will often serve you just as well for less. We'd rather fit you correctly than expensively.
Can I try Oticon Reveal before committing?
Yes. Pennsylvania law requires every hearing aid sold in the
Commonwealth to come with a 30-day money-back guarantee, counted from the day your
devices are delivered. Return them in the same condition within that window and
you're entitled to a refund of the purchase price as itemized on your receipt. We'll
go through the written guarantee with you before you commit.
Our advice: give them three or four weeks and come in for at least one adjustment
before you decide. New hearing aids sound strange to nearly everyone at first, and
most of that fades as your brain adapts.
Do you use real-ear measurement when fitting Reveal?
On every fitting, without exception. It's the recognized best practice for verifying that a hearing aid is delivering what your hearing loss prescribes, and it matters more to your day-to-day result than which platform you choose. Not every provider performs it — it's a fair question to ask anyone you're considering.
